KWIU will focus on the implementation of educational programs harmonized with international requirements through continuous development and improvement; promotion of research activities; internationalization of educational, research and administrative processes and the development of student-centered environment through scientific, cultural, creative and cognitive development.

Ken Walker International University was established in 2019, KWIU is named after late Ken Walker, MD, based on his plan to guarantee global and equal access to quality and a¬ffordable higher education. Ken Walker collaborates with the Emory University School of Medicine (USA), to provide students with the highest quality education, research, and experience. Students can attend educational process and observe clinical activities of di¬fferent hospitals and clinics in the USA. The university has collaborative agreements with over 30 local and international healthcare providers in Georgia and worldwide. Students can participate in elective clinical programs/clerkships (clinical electives) at the Emory University School of Medicine and other partner organizations.
